September 20

On September 20, 2025, the Gatekeepers Museum in Tahoe City will host a free, family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration. You can buy food and drinks there, and there will be special beer glasses just for the festival. Local food trucks will serve Bavarian-style food, and children get to paint pumpkins (the pumpkins are free while supplies last), paint faces, and play games. There will also be craft beer from regional microbreweries, live music, fun food, and a village of vendors with crafts. It’s a good time for everyone—kids, families, adults.
Things to Know Before Coming
The event is free to attend. Beer is available only for people 21+ and will use beer tickets. Pumpkin painting and art supplies are free but first-come, first-served, so arriving earlier helps to get one. Food and drink are not free—you’ll need to purchase those. There’s face painting too. Because it’s outdoors at a museum location by the lake, expect a casual atmosphere.
Ticket Information
You don’t need a ticket just to enter. The event is free. But for beer, you’ll use beer tickets if you’re 21 or older. Commemorative Oktoberfest beer glasses will also be available for purchase.
