October 2 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Volunteer for a hands-on forest restoration event where participants plant sugar pine seedlings to support the health of Tahoe’s forests. The planting sessions take place across different locations in the South Shore region, including fire-scarred areas, and welcome volunteers of all ages to help reforest the land.
Things to Know Before Coming
All the supplies are provided, seedlings, shovels, gloves, and instructions. You’ll need to wear closed-toe shoes and dress in layers for changing weather. Bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Each day’s planting is held in a designated fire scar zone, such as near Corral, Markleeville, Sierra at Tahoe, or other areas, depending on the date. Be sure to register ahead and check that your site’s event date is active before heading out, as locations change.
Ticket Information
There’s no fee to participate. All volunteers are welcome and no prior experience is needed.
